In 1999, Green Point Baptist Church ‘adopted’ the H people, one of the largest muslim people groups in Central Asia. Amongst the estimated 12 million H people, there is only a handful of Christ-followers and no indigenous church. We have committed ourselves to partner with other Australian churches and Global Interaction in proclaiming Christ to the H people and to help them develop their own distinctive way of following Jesus.
In 2017 was the launch of a partnership between GPBC and Baptist World Aid Australia (BWAA), where child-centred community development projects commenced with the aim of assisting impoverished communities develop sustainable income in order to lift themselves out of poverty. This is done primarily through education and the provision of required resources.
